It’s dedicated to mountaineering. So it only makes sense that it’s perched atop a peak. The Messner Mountain Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects is set into the top of Mount Kronplatz in South Tyrol, and is formed entirely from concrete. At the request of its namesake, legendary climber Reinhold Messner, each of the museum’s openings is aligned to a nearby peak: Peitlerkofel Mountain to the southeast, Heiligkreuzkofel to the south, and Ortler and the South Tyrol to the west, the latter of which can be seen from a large balcony. Inside, you’ll find exhibits on mountaineering gear and local climbing history, but the building itself is well worth the trip.
Saw this right outside Tiffany & Co., Bond Street the other day. Not the colour I’d go for, but nonetheless a beautiful F12.
This was one of the two Huayras I saw at SPS. This Huayra has a full carbon body and gold wheels.
